Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and Late Notice of Rescheduling of Deposition: Verbatim Deposition Services reserves the deposition date and time exclusively for your matter. If a deposition is cancelled or postponed with less than 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time, the full appearance fee ($400) will be billed to the scheduling party. Cancellations must be sent in writing to sara@verbatim-services.com. Notice is effective when received. No transcript fee applies to a cancelled deposition. Travel and Mileage Appearance fees include travel within the Twin Cities seven-county metropolitan area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington counties). For depositions held outside this area, mileage will be billed to the scheduling party at the IRS standard business mileage rate in effect on the date of the deposition. Mileage is calculated round trip from our Twin Cities Metro office to the deposition location, and it is itemized on the invoice. Lodging When a deposition location is more than 150 miles from our Twin Cities Metro office, or when the scheduled start time does not allow for same-day travel, overnight lodging will be billed to the scheduling party at actual cost. Lodging needs will be confirmed with the scheduling party when the deposition is booked, and receipts will be provided with the invoice.
